The device has an enclosure (2) arranged between adjacent storage cells (1) of a stacking such that a part (24) of opposite heat exchange walls (22, 23) of the enclosure is placed respectively in contact with external faces (11, 12) of the adjacent storage cells. Another part (25) of the heat exchange walls of the enclosure is projected from the external faces of the storage cells. The latter part of the heat exchange walls of the enclosure is in contact with a heat exchange circuit (3), where a coolant i.e. water, is circulated in the heat exchange circuit.
