Cosmetic process for exfoliating lips comprises: (i) contacting entire or part of lips with a composition containing at least one film-forming agent in a medium, where the agent is different from a compound obtained by crosslinking in the presence of a peroxide of at least two silicone compounds X and Y and in quantity sufficient to provide the composition an ability to form a film on the surface of the lips; (ii) optionally, spreading and/or massaging the surface of the lips treated according to step (i), to form the film; and (iii) eliminating the film. An independent claim is included for kit for exfoliating lips comprising separately at least one first cosmetic composition comprising at least one film-forming agent comprising polyvinyl alcohols; latex; electrophilic monomers and their mixtures and an additional cosmetic composition, distinct from the first, for care and/or makeup of lips.
