The device (10) has a storage zone constituted by a storage volume (14), a storage compartment and a storage cavity and associated to a seat (11), where dimensions of the storage zone permit housing of a fluorescent safety jacket (15). The storage zone is placed at the level of a front face (12) of the seat or at the level of a lateral face of the seat from a side of a door of the vehicle. A wall (13) is made of deformable fabric e.g. elastomer, and sewn on the front face or the lateral face of the seat to present a single opening for permitting passage of the jacket.
