The system has a detection unit (30) connected to a selection unit (20) and arranged for detecting selection of key by user. The selection unit has electrodes (22) at the level of selection zone defining the key. The electrodes are placed on an inner surface (101) of a partition (100). The detection unit is electrically connected to the electrode and arranged for capturing a variation of electric field applied to each electrode by capacitive charge transfer technology so as to detect the selection of key operated by the user from an outer surface (102) of the partition, across the partition.
