The seat (1) has an adjustment device comprising wheels (4-6) and support plate (3). The wheels (4, 6) are connected to a backrest (12) and a base (11). Locking lever (7) i.e. pad, of elastic deformable material, locks angular position of the plate relative to the wheel (6). The plate angularly pivots around a central axle of the wheel (6) to cause rotation of the wheel and movement of the backrest such that the backrest occupies short and long base positions in which the backrest is moved forward and backward, and middle positions while maintaining inclination angle of the backrest.
