The crossmember (10) has a portion comprising a bottom side flank (11) and a normal roof stair (12), where the crossmember is made of steel. Another portion (13) is formed by an optional roof stair and integrated to the former portion. The latter portion has a height (h) determined for obtaining a flush position of an open type optional roof (O) when the optional roof is fixed on the crossmember. The latter portion is located between the flank and the normal roof stair. A normal roof (N) is fixed on the normal roof stair by a seam of glue (c) in the event of the normal roof.
