The device has a N set of annular rotary trilobic piston machines constituted of cold and hot annular rotary trilobic piston machines (2F, 2C) with respective double-arced cores (NBAF, NBAC), annular rotary pistons (PRAF, PRAC) and casings (CARF, CARC), where the pistons and the casings are connected by a regenerator (RGN). An operating mechanism produces a continuous rotational movement of the pistons around a fixed axis traversing the hot and cold machines. The pistons have sealing plates that are integrated to trilobes, respectively.
