On-board electrical distribution system for distributing electric power to airplane, has supercapacitors associated to load for maintaining power supply of load for duration equal to preset duration during implementation of switching unit

The system has a load (20) e.g. actuators, supplied by electric sources (21, 22), and a switching unit (23) to switch a power supply of the load on one of the electric sources. A set of supercapacitors (24, 25) is associated to the load so as to maintain the power supply of the load for a specific duration equal to a predetermined duration of 5 seconds, during the implementation of the switching unit. The supercapacitors are installed in an upstream of the loads, and are utilized in an output of power converters. An independent claim is also included for a method for on-board electrical power distribution of aircraft.
