The device has infrared temperature sensors and/or ultrasonic sensors (D1, Dn) for detecting inactivity of an isolated person moving in a confined space, in a remote manner. The sensors are fixed on walls of the confined space such that the sensors are activated by the person moving in the space, where the sensors are electrically connected with each other in a parallel manner. Visual indicators e.g. color LEDs, provide pre-warning or warning, in case of absence of response from the sensors. An alarm is transmitted via global system for mobile communicationsconnection.
