The method involves determining values of parameter of an operating point of an engine (12). A limited pressure of exhaust gas is created in an upstream of a turbine (17), if value of the parameter of a determined operating point is lower than threshold value, by closing an exhaust gas flow control unit (15) i.e. flap, in a downstream of the turbine so as to increase the pressure of exhaust gas contained between the turbine and the control unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for supercharging gaseous mixture of an engine of a motor vehicle comprising a creating unit.
