The method involves determining pressure of fuel in a pressurized fuel storage unit (4), and opening a controlled valve (12) if the fuel pressure is higher than a pressure threshold. The controlled valve is closed if the fuel pressure is lower than the pressure threshold, where the threshold is worth at 120 bars. The controlled valve is closed while the fuel pressure is lower than another pressure threshold. The controlled valve is opened while the fuel pressure is higher than the latter pressure threshold. An independent claim is also included for a fuel injection system for a combustion engine.
