The article (1) has side openings (10, 11) provided for passages of arms of a person when the article is used as a protective clothing, and arranged between a posterior part of an external cover (2) and one of frontal parts (3, 4). The side openings have closing units for closing the passages when the article is used a backpack. An internal cover has a flexible compartment with an opening and fixed on the posterior part so as to be located inside volume formed by the external cover when the frontal parts are coupled to each other by coupling units (5). A liner slides between the covers. The external cover is made of a partially transparent material. The liner is made of an insulating material.
