The lock (10) has pivoting units (34, 36) pivotably mounted in a vicinity of an upper section (24) and a lower section (26) of a case (12), respectively. The pivoting units are respectively connected to free ends (58) of two locking rods (32). A lateral bolt end (22) is provided with a plate extended between the upper and lower sections. Two pins (40, 42) in the plate cooperate with the respective pivoting units. A driving cylinder controls the plate in translation such that the pins cause the pivoting of the pivoting units to cause the movement in translation of the free ends of the rods.
