The method involves displaying stages of a cycle of a crop e.g. fruit or vine crop, and selecting a type of a product e.g. fertilizer or phytosanitary product. An application date of the product is selected with respect to one of the stages of the crop cycle. An action persistence time of the product on the crop is automatically displayed with respect to the stage, while displaying the stage. The selected product type and product application date are stored. An independent claim is also included for a device for providing suggestion for crop treatment, comprising a stage display unit.
