The device (D) has a detection unit (MD) analyzing a zone located in front of one of front part (PV) and a rear part (PR) of a vehicle (V) from a moving object located in the zone to a certain distance from the vehicle. An analysis unit (MA) analyzes two sub-parts of the zone. The detection unit generates an alarm when an object is in movement at two of the sub-parts of the zone simultaneously, and distances from the vehicle lower than a chosen threshold when the vehicle is in stop state.
