The aircraft i.e. double turboshaft engine civil transport airplane (1), has movable masking panels (13, 14) for reducing a part of noise emitted by engines. The engines are respectively suspended at wings (3) that are arranged laterally and symmetrically with respect to a fuselage (2). One of the panels occupies a deployed position in which the panel is projected under the wings laterally with respect to the corresponding engine or occupies a retracted position in which the panel is arranged in housings (12A, 12B) arranged in a lower surface (12) of the wings.
