The device (2) has a receiving and guiding passageway (4) for receiving articles e.g. beverage bottles, and allowing automatic routing of the articles received in the passageway towards a front end (12) of the passageway. A roller conveyor (6) is placed on the bottom of the passageway. A pusher device (8) pushes the articles received on the roller conveyor towards the front end of the passageway under the effect of a return spring (28) i.e. rolled up metal strip, of the pusher device. The pusher device has a pusher unit (26) that is slidably mounted on a side wing (18).
