The carrier (30) has a support (32) connected to a frame of a motor vehicle, and a wheel axle (44) connected to the support, where the wheel axle receives guiding bearings of a wheel. The support comprises an axial guide to allow the displacement of the wheel axle with respect to the support. A blocking unit i.e. radial pin (50), blocks the wheel axle on the support. An end of the wheel axle is rotated towards the interior of the vehicle. The support comprises an axial tubular part (34) and a plate shaped part that is placed according to a plane transverse to the wheel axle.
