The cage (1) has a single motor unit (2) for activating rotation of supporting walls and comprising a driving element (20) i.e. electric jack. The supporting walls have a mobile rear part (10b) and a front wall (13). A driving lever (21) is fixed to a pivoting shaft (17) of the front wall, and operates the driving element. Drive levers (22, 22') are fixed to a rotating shaft (15) of the rear part. The driving lever acts on the drive levers during rotational movement in a direction corresponding to rotation of the walls towards supporting positions i.e. rest and active positions. An independent claim is also included for a breeding installation comprising a fattening cage.
