The device (1) has a light source (3) i.e. LED, arranged in an inner side of a case (2), where the light source produces the light i.e. daytime running light (DRL). A case is placed in a sideview mirror (10) of a motor vehicle, and a mirror (4) is arranged close to the case. A reflector (6) is connected to the light source to reflect the light resulting from the light source. The reflector defines a cavity in a shape of paraboloid for receiving the light source. A support (8) is arranged in the case for supporting the light source.
