The method involves closing intake solenoid valves (22) of brake actuators (12), and opening exhaust solenoid valves (24) of the brake actuators, after braking, where the actuators are connected to a master brake cylinder (4) of a braking system (1) by hydraulic circuits (10). A low pressure hydraulic pump (26) of a braking pressure modulation device is activated for creating vacuum in the brake actuators to retract a piston of the brake actuators, after braking. The exhaust solenoid valves are closed, and the intake solenoid valves are opened, after stopping the pump.
