A modified polymer complex, which is obtained by intermolecular and/or intramolecular crosslinking of a polymer complex via side chains thereof, wherein the polymer complex is a copolymer of a complex monomer meeting the following conditions (i) to (iii) and a comonomer expressed by the following general formula (1): R02R03R01E (The definitions of R01, R02, R03 and E are omitted.) (i) the complex monomer has two or more transition metal atoms; (ii) the complex monomer has a polydentate ligand containing three or more coordinating atoms that are coordinately bonded to the transition metal atoms; and (iii) the polydentate ligand has one or more polymerizable functional groups.
