An electronic circuit building kit includes an insulating baseboard 1 containing a number of magnets 2 arranged in regular pattern and a plurality of component holders 3. The component holders 3 include ferromagnetic eyelet cores 5 and electronic components 4 and the holders 3 align themselves with the magnets 2 embedded in the baseboard 1, which hold the holders 3 in place and preferably also ferromagnetic rods 8 positioned on top of the eyelet cores 5. To ensure the ferromagnetic rods 8 remain in place, connection guides 6 may be used to help prevent them being displaced from the eyelet cores 5. A circuit is completed when electricity flows through the component holder(s) 3 and ferromagnetic rods 8. Electricity can also flow down through the eyelets cores 5 to the magnets 2 in the insulating baseboard 1 and thus to other component holders 3 or circuits mounted on the other side of the insulating baseboard 1. The invention also allows for non friction vertical connections to be made by means of connecting wires 9 having ferromagnetic ends and which are held in place within the hollow part of the eyelet core 5 by magnetism. Symbols 7 are preferably included on the component holders 3 to indicate the component 4 in the holder.
