PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white polyester film superior in film production, whitening, reflection, light weight, and light resistance, and to provide a surface light source superior in brightness characteristic by using the same.;SOLUTION: In the white polyester film for a surface light source reflector, which has a polyester layer (A), the polyester layer (A) contains 0.1 to 5.0% by mass of inorganic particles (c) and 1.0 to 25% by mass of inorganic particles (d). The average volume particle diameter of the inorganic particles (c) is 2 μm to 10 μm, the glossiness of the surface of the white film on the side of the polyester layer (A) at 60° is 30 or less. The average roughness (Ra) on the center line of the polyester film is 250 nm ≤ Ra ≤1,000 nm, and the ten-point average roughness (Rz) of the polyester film is 4000 nm ≤ Ra ≤10,000 nm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
