PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber-reinforced calcium silicate board by sheet forming, with which the water filterability suitable for sheet forming can be obtained, when producing fiber-reinforced calcium silicate board by the sheet forming, and to provide the fiber-reinforced calcium silicate board.SOLUTION: The method for producing the fiber-reinforced calcium silicate board comprises the steps of: forming raw material slurry including a siliceous raw material, a calcareous raw material and a reinforcing fiber into a board-like shape by sheet forming; and subjecting the compacted board-like raw material to a hydrothermal reaction in an autoclave. In the method, the fiber-reinforced calcium silicate board is formed by sheet forming using the raw material slurry with fumed silica blended in the raw material including the siliceous raw material, the calcareous raw material and the reinforcing fiber. The fumed silica having ≥30 m/g BET specific surface area is preferably blended in the raw material slurry by 0.15-5.0 mass%. There is also provided the fiber-reinforced calcium silicate board.
