PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a points redemption rate retrieval system and a portable telephone set and an IC card to be used for the point redemption rate retrieval system which is extremely excellent in convenience for enabling a user to grasp the points redemption rate for his or her own financial settlement application in a store which the user uses before settlement is made.;SOLUTION: When a user does shopping in a store, store information is acquired from credit terminal equipment 14 installed in the store in response to a request from a portable telephone set 11, and not only application classification information and personal identification information owned by the portable telephone set 1 and the acquired store information but also a point redemption rate retrieval request command are transmitted from the portable telephone 11 to a host computer 16 for points redemption rate retrieval management so that a points redemption rate can be retrieved from a host computer 17 of a credit company via the host computer 16, and displayed on the display of the portable telephone set 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
