PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external flow separator having air inlet and outlet outside a building and avoiding recirculation of fluid. PSOLUTION: This bidirectional air flow separator for a thermal installation arranged at the interference between the inside and outside of the building includes a housing 210. The housing 210 includes: a main opening 220 intended to be connected to an internal installation; at least two external secondary openings 230, 240 distinct from the main opening 220; and a flow separation means 250 having at least two deflectors 260, 270 defining two channels 280, 290 widening toward the end, starting respectively from a primary passage 224 of the main opening 220 towards one of the external secondary openings 230, 240.
