PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stability of operation and also to improve the accuracy of a product by controlling interstand tension at the target tension value.;SOLUTION: The method for controlling tension is a method for controlling the tension of a rolled stock 6 which is rolled with a rolling stand 2 provided in a multistage rolling mill 1 and includes a target orbit calculating step where the target orbit data stipulating change by time in the tension of the rolled stock 6 is beforehand calculated and a tension controlling step for controlling the tension of the rolled stock 6 on the basis of the deviation between the actual value of the tension of the rolled stock 6 and the target orbit data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
