PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine whether or not a recording material is in the processed state that the fixing processing has been applied to the recording material in the past.;SOLUTION: A sheet speed detecting part 24 is configured to calculate a moving speed of the sheet in feeding in a fixed period after starting a sheet feeding operation based on measurement data (moving amount of sheet) outputted for every measurement interval from a moving amount measurement sensor 17 provided adjacent to a sheet housing part 11, and a data processing part 23 is configured to, based on N pieces of latest moving speed data of the sheet in feeding, corresponding to the feeding attribute information, calculate a threshold based on the moving speed of the unfixed sheet which has been fed in the past, and which has the same feeding attribute information as that of the sheet in feeding, and a speed comparison part 25 is configured to compare the moving speed outputted from the sheet speed detection part 24 with the threshold outputted from the data processing part 23, and a determination part 26 is configured to determine whether the sheet in feeding is a fixed sheet or an unfixed sheet based on the comparison result obtained by the speed comparison part 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
