PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Sn based alloy for Nb3Sn superconducting wire comprising a finer compound inclusion(s) with a dopant(s) in order to produce Nb3Sn superconductor wire having a superior current carrying capacity, and to provide a method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: The compound Sn based alloy is composed of an Sn-containing metal matrix and a fine inclusion(s), and the fine inclusion(s) is used as a dopant(s), and includes at least one element selected from the group consisting of titanium, vanadium, zirconium and hafnium. In the method, the droplets 13 of the melt 11 of a metal matrix and inclusion particles 12 are sprayed onto a target 15, and are mixed and solidified so as to be a compound alloy where a fine inclusion(s) containing a dopant element(s) is uniformly dispersed into an Sn matrix.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
