PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample tube for solid-state NMR, capable of suppressing the bending resonance of the sample tube and rotating the sample tube for the solid-state NMR stably at high speed.;SOLUTION: The sample tube for the solid-state NMR includes a sample tube capable of enclosing a sample used in solid-state NMR measurement and constitutes a gas bearing by supplying a gas between the sample tube and a holding mechanism disposed for holding the sample tube, the gas bearing allowing high speed rotation of the sample tube. The sample tube comprises a hollow cylinder opened at both ends or at one end, and a lid attached to the opening(s). The relationship of the length L, outer diameter D and inner diameter d of the sample tube satisfies a predetermined relational expression, the value of L/D is equal to or greater than 3, the modulus E of longitudinal elasticity of the hollow cylinder is between 190 GPa and 230 GPa, a density ρ is between 5500 Kg/m3 and 6200 Kg/m3, the outer diameter D of the hollow cylinder is between 0.3 mm and 1.1 mm, and the outer diameter of the lid attached to the opening(s) of the hollow cylinder does not exceed the outer diameter of the hollow cylinder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
