CREASING DEVICES, SHEET POST-PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creasing device with a malfunction detection means for detecting any occurrence of sudden malfunction in the creasing device during an output process, allowing no production of a paper sheet having a defective fold.;SOLUTION: When the malfunction detector disposed in a driving section of the creasing device detects any malfunction, it proceeds to an urgent stop and recovery operation flow of: stopping a driving motor; sending an alarm to an image forming apparatus to stop the image forming apparatus; presenting a recovery method on an operation display panel of the image forming apparatus; detecting whether or not a front door is opened; detecting whether or not the paper sheet left in the image forming apparatus has been removed and the front door is closed; determining if a paper conveying sensor provided in the creasing device has detected existence of any paper inside; and repeating the operation flow of urgent stop and recovery if the existence of any paper has been detected, or returning to the initial operation flow if the existence of no paper has been detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
