WATER GRANULATION PIT AND METHOD OF TAKING OUT WATER GRANULATED SOLIDIFIED PRODUCT FROM THE WATER GRANULATION PIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress abnormal stop caused by increase in power loss and catching of a foreign matter, in a water granulation pit for solidifying melt of high temperature in water, carrying precipitated water granulated solidified products to the water surface by a scraper conveyor and taking out the water granulated solidified products.;SOLUTION: The scraper conveyor is divided into a first stage scraper conveyor 4a carrying water granulated solidified products 15 in the water and arranged horizontally and a second stage scraper conveyor 4b carrying the water granulated solidified products 15 to the water surface and arranged slantedly, and the first and second stage scraper conveyors 4a, 4b are operated independently from each other. This configuration eliminates the necessity of a scraper pressing guide which is conventionally necessary, reduces frictional resistance caused by contact sliding of scrapers 10a, 10b with the guide and permits the scrapers 10a, 10b to get over foreign matters.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
