PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber Fabry-Perot etalon which has an inexpensive and simple structure, selectively reflects laser beam having a desired oscillation wavelength, and to provide a method of manufacturing the fiber Fabry-Perot etalon, an external-cavity semiconductor laser and a Raman amplifier.;SOLUTION: The fiber Fabry-Perot etalon includes: two ferrules 4, 5 to which first and second optical fibers 2, 3 each having a core part and a clad part are inserted, respectively; a cylindrical sleeve 7 which fixes the ferrules 4, 5 and causes the end faces of the core parts of the optical fibers 2, 3 to face to each other at a gap 6 of a predetermined distance Δ in optical axis direction, wherein at least one of end faces is a concave end face.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
