PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for overhauling a steel tower support structure, which can prevent the interference thereof with a stack shell overhauling unit during the overhauling, eliminates the need for installing a ring girder fixed to the outer periphery of the stack shell serving as a support point structural member and a guide roller for supporting the stack shell by abutting on the outer peripheral surface thereof, and eliminates the need for a high lift work.;SOLUTION: In this overhaul facility, the stack shell overhauling unit used for cutting and removing the stack shell includes a jack device for supporting the stack shell which is used to lift a vertically extending lift member 4, a jack frame 3a on which the jack device for supporting the stack shell is mounted and which is installed on a foundation member 23 in the stack shell 1, and a lifting member 5 for the stack shell which is connected to the bottom end of the vertically extending lift member 4 and which holds the lower side of the stack shell 1. The lifting member 5 for the stack shell includes a holding means comprising a plurality of arm parts which extend toward the peripheral surface of the stack shell 1 and the front ends of which are inserted, from the inside, into through-holes 6a formed in the stack shell 1 at a plurality of positions in the circumferential direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
