PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of stably manufacturing a Bi2223 oxide superconducting wire having a high critical current value.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a Bi2223 oxide superconducting wire includes a sheath production process of producing a sheath by inserting a silver or silver alloy-made metal sheet having a spiral shape at a cross section orthogonal to a longitudinal direction to a silver or silver alloy-made metal pipe; a precursor powder filling process of filling up precursor powder of a Bi2223 oxide superconductor to the sheath; a drawing process of drawing the sheath where the precursor powder is filled up; a rolling process of rolling the drawn sheath; and a heat treatment process of heat-treating the rolled sheath.
