PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for providing power for coolant compression reduced in carbon dioxide emission amount and shared electrical power for a light hydrocarbon gas liquefying process.SOLUTION: This method includes a process a: Coolant is compressed in a coolant compressor at least partially driven by at least a light hydrocarbon gas combustion type turbine to generate compression coolant and the turbine generates exhaust gas flow at a raised temperature, a process b: Steam is generated from water or low pressure steam by temperature and pressure raised by a heat exchange with the exhaust gas flow, a process c: A steam turbine is driven by steam from the process b to generate mechanical force, and a process d: A generator is driven by the mechanical force from the process c to generate electrical power to be used in the light hydrocarbon gas liquefying process.
