PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regulator for formation of a primary bile acid and a secondary bile acid, which regulates the amounts of a primary bile acid and a secondary bile acid formed in a living body to proper amounts relative to a living body. PSOLUTION: The regulator for formation of a primary bile acid and a secondary bile acid comprises an -glucosidase activity inhibitory component, preferably a component derived from at least one plant selected from the group consisting of a plant of the genus Salacia, mulberry and gymnema.
