PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor mounting structure of a wheel-supporting bearing unit with a sensor which fixes the sensor by pushing it against a side face of an outer ring, stabilizes the air gap between an encoder and an element for detecting the signal of the encoder, and facilitates sensor mounting work, and to provide the wheel-supporting bearing unit with the sensor including the sensor mounting structure.;SOLUTION: The bearing unit includes: a stationary ring 2 and a rotating ring 4 and rolling elements 6, 7; the encoder 3 fitted to the rotating ring; the sensor 5 to be fixed to the stationary ring; and a fixed flange 21 which rises up from the stationary ring. The sensor includes a sensor body and the mounting flange. The mounting flange is equipped with a protrusion which engages with the fixed flange. The dimension S1 between the protrusion 51 and the sensor body is set smaller than the dimension S2 between a side face 21b of the fixed flange and the side face 24 of the outer ring 2. The sensor body comes in contact with a side face of the stationary ring, when the sensor body is fixed to the fixed flange, and is urged by a force to be pushed against the side face.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
