PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting member for X-ray microscope image observation suitable for X-ray microscope observation of a biological sample.;SOLUTION: The sample supporting member (10) includes: a sample support film (11) such as a silicon nitride film, a carbon film, and a polyimide film; an X-ray radiation film (13) provided on one major surface of the sample support film and irradiated with charged particles to radiate characteristic X-rays in a soft X-ray region; and a sample adsorption film (12) that is a metal film provided on the other major surface of the sample support film (11) and immobilizing the observation object sample (1) by the adsorption. Because protein as the constituent material of a biological sample is easily adsorbed by metal ions, the sample adsorption film (12) is formed on one of the major surfaces of the sample support film (11) so that the observation sample is adsorbed thereon. By using such a sample supporting member (10), the observation sample is immobilized by only dropping a solution including the biological sample on the sample adsorption film (12) or injecting it into a cell accommodating the sample supporting member (10).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
