PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope end fiting which prevents a wire rope from breaking and prevents a strut from deforming by sliding and paying out the wire rope from the rope end fitting if a load applied to the wire rope is a predetermined value or more, and which enhances safety by increasing allowable loads of a falling-rock protective fence, a guard cable, etc., as well as a fixing structure of a wire rope using the rope end fitting.;SOLUTION: The rope end fitting 1 is for fixing an end of a wire rope 7 to a strut, and comprises a wedge member 2 that can be fixed on an outer peripheral surface of the wire rope 7, an engaging member 3 having a hollow taper portion 15 for undetachably housing the wedge member 2, a fitting body having a hollow tubular portion 17 through which the wire rope 7 can be inserted, a coupling member 5 connecting the fitting body with the engaging member 3, and a fixture 6 for securing the fitting body to the strut.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
