PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide porous ceramics to be suitably used for a ceramic membrane for filtration having high filtration accuracy and low filtration resistance, the porous ceramics being more easily manufactured than by conventional methods.;SOLUTION: The porous ceramics include a pore layer 10 having pores adjusted to a desired mean pore diameter, a support layer 30 having support layer pores of a mean pore diameter larger than the pores and supporting the pore layer, and an intermediate layer 20 having intermediate layer pores of a mean pore diameter as large as or larger than the mean pore diameter of the pores and as small as or smaller than the mean pore diameter of the support layer pores, and installed between the pore layer and the support layer 30, wherein pore paths 31, which have a pore diameter larger than the mean pore diameter of the support layer pores and are extended in the direction of thickness, are formed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
