MECHANISM FOR ADVANCING/RETRACTING FOOTSTOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for advancing/retracting a footstool, wherein the footstool, which is installed on a front part of a seat of a chair or a massage chair so as to appear/disappear from the lower part of the seat to a nearly horizontal position, can be optionally or automatically extended/contracted in the state of protruding forward.;SOLUTION: In the chair which has a backrest 5 and the seat 4 and is provided with the footstool 1 capable of protruding/retreating forward at the front end through an appearing/disappearing mechanism at the front part of the seat 4, the footstool 1 is divided into a first footstool 11 and a second footstool 12. A sliding mechanism 2 is provided between the first footstool 11 and the second footstool 12, so that the first footstool 11 can slide back and forth in front of the seat. Each user slides the first footstool 11 of the footstool 1 protruding nearly horizontally forward from the seat 4 to a favorite position, and can sit on the chair with a relaxed posture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
