PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-fiber optical connector, dispensing with an index-matching agent, and enabling optical connection, while being of non-contact type.;SOLUTION: ThE optical connector includes a core part 2 previously resin-molded and having a plurality of optical fiber holes 7 and guide pin holes on both sides thereof; and a light-transmitting resin part 3 over-molded to the core part 2, with optical fibers 12a BEING inserted in the optical fiber holes 7. The light transmitting resin part 3 has a light-transmitting resin front end part 3b covering a core part end face 6a of an optical fiber hole forming part 2a. The light-transmitting resin front end part 3b is provided with a collimating lens 3a placed in a mode of retreating from an optical connector end face 3c. In the connector optical connection, parallel light rays are optically connected between the collimating lenses 3a, so that losses due to reflection are not produced, even if the layer is an air layer.
