PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a transformer which reduces energizing inrush current in a preset condition.;SOLUTION: This transformer design system includes: a basic condition input section; an initial value setting section for setting initial values of temporary parameters consisting of a group of design values of a transformer; a search section for setting a group of the temporary parameters, and selecting, while changing the values of the temporary parameters included in the group, a group of temporary parameters high in the level of adaptation using meta-heuristics by using an object function including a term based on a difference between short-circuit impedance included in at least the basic condition and a short-circuit impedance obtained from the basic condition and the temporary parameters, and a term based on an instantaneous value of the energizing inrush current; a calculation section for calculating an apparatus constant from the basic condition and the temporary parameters during trial calculation; an analysis section for analyzing an instantaneous value of the energizing inrush current from the apparatus constant during the trial calculation; and an output section for outputting the apparatus constant calculated using the temporary parameters included in the finally-selected group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
