PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrist watch equipped with a mechanical regulator having a balance wheel and a hair spring coupled with an electronic regulator driven by the balance wheel and a crystal oscillator through an electromagnetic coupling, wherein the mechanical watch movement (10) driven by a barrel spring (14) is stored in the case.;SOLUTION: The mechanical movement comprises a pair of permanent magnets (38, 39) in the rim of the balance wheel (13); the electronic regulator equipped with a fixed coil (12) cooperates with the magnets through electromagnetic coupling; a rectifier (58) equipped with at least one capacitor; and a circuit (60) for enslaving the frequency of the mechanical regulator to the oscillation frequency by utilizing braking force generated at the time short-circuiting the coil for a short time.
