PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control quality of service (QoS) of an uplink traffic for each user in an ethernet PON (EPON).;SOLUTION: In a method to register a plurality of entities belonging to a specific optical network unit (ONU), a step at which an optical line terminal apparatus (OLT) confirms whether a registration request message received from a specific ONU belongs to a prescribed grant or not is registered and the entity is registered as either a first entity of the specific ONU or an additional entity based on the confirmed result.
