PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit for growing farm crops which enables efficient light supplement by a combination of a light-emitting diode light source and a reflecting plate, to provide a lighting system for growing farm crops using the unit, and to provide a method for growing farm crops using the unit and the system.;SOLUTION: The lighting unit for growing farm crops includes the light-emitting diode light source and the reflecting plate at its back, wherein the reflecting plate includes reflecting film made of a resin composition containing a finely-powdered filling agent consisting mainly of aliphatic polyester resin and titanium oxide. Any of a red light-emitting diode, blue light-emitting diode, white light-emitting diode and combinations thereof can be employed as a light-emitting diode, but specifically the combination of the red light-emitting diode and the blue light-emitting diode is preferably employed because the blue light assists growth of the plant to contribute stalk extension and floral bud formation, and the red light promotes photosynthesis.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
