PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a non-electrode fluorescent lamp which can operate in both of the inside and outside of a fitting especially with slight performance difference between the both.;SOLUTION: The non-electrode fluorescent lamp is configured so as to operate at a frequency lower than 500 Hz in both of the inside and outside of the fitting with the slight performance difference between the both. Favorable performance of the non-electrode fluorescent lamp is attained in the fitting by using a relatively high pressure of a rare gas, a diameter of a relatively small concave indentation, and a relatively short magnetic core.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
