PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an amorphous alloy hard to be embrittled and easy to be worked by allowing it to have a compsn. contg. at least one kind of element selected from Ti, Zr, Hf or the like and one kind of element selected from Si and B as essential elements and contg. at least one kind of element selected from Cu and Au and S respectively by specified weight ratios. ;SOLUTION: This alloy contains at least one kind of element selected from Cu and Au of, by weight, ≤1.5% and ≤0.01% S. Preferably, the Fe base amorphous alloy has a compsn. in which a part of Fe is substituted with at least one kind of element selected from Co and Ni, moreover, a part of B is substituted with at least one kind of element selected from Ga, Ge, Be, P and C, furthermore, a part of at least one kind of element selected from Ti, Zr, Hf or the like is substituted with at least one kind of element selected from Mn, Cr, Ag or the like, platinum group elements, Ca, Na, Ba or the like and rare earth elements, and contg, by weight, ≤0.05% P, ≤500 ppm O and ≤0.5% C as well.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
